It’s not Mothers’ Day, but with all the daffodils and crocuses coming up, it just might be time to drag out a Mother’s Day sermon. After all, it’s Women’s History Month, and this is, historically, what it’s like to be a woman listening to this kind of sermon every year on Mothers’ Day. Yeah, you get to hear about what an evil slut you are. I suddenly realize that it’s pretty damned easy to find something to listen to to be reminded how big of an evil slut you are, and I really didn’t need to help. But sometimes, just sometimes, we privileged few who do not have to live in that kind of environment (where you have to listen to males between the ages of 14 and 30 who were not raised by two moms), you don’t realize what kind of propaganda gets pumped into the souls of people with evil, slutty vaginas and vulvae and pudenda and that sort of thing. Makes us watch terrible television and read awful magazines, apparently. That’s beside the point. If I wanted to Destroy America, I’d….wait a minute. I DO want to Destroy America! The answer, my sistahs, is to consume, consume, consume False Slack. If only I’d have known it was so easy…

This week, our old friend Bob Larson tries to pull off some amazingly New Age therapy on some gay men. It includes the assumption that they hate their fathers, and when that doesn’t pan out, they hate their mothers. I suppose if this guy had hated his father, he would have pulled out some old men out of the audience to help with his routine, and it would have been a big male affection festival. Which is really gay.

In case you’re wondering, I saw this video posted on this blog: http://goeagles2u.blogspot.com/ . I don’t know if anyone is entertained by endtimes predictions, but I wouldn’t mind if the blog author saw this on his trackback.
This is another typical alarmist video from some Christian preacher. A Warning-against-Rampant-Satanism video is not a rarity, not by any means. This one happens to be chock full of copyright violationy goodness. Yes, it’s fair use. But I don’t think Disney knows what Fair Use means. You have to wonder how many Christian materials snatched up Disney content to show rampant liberalism/homosexuality/satanism/Communism is. Hey, RIAA: don’t look at me: you should really plumb the depths of the Christian Educational Video genre. It would be a goldmine–for the RIAA, of course, Not for the artists. Riiight. They give money won from lawsuits to ARTISTS. I’d like to see THAT happen.

Many Christians (I don’t know the percentage) actually do worship a murderous, bloodthirsty god (regardless of the fact it’s apparent in the bible that it is), and consider fear of their god a necessity to go into “heaven.” It’s a lot more simple and practical than it first sounds. This is not some great spiritual truth for them. This is not enlightenment in the least. This is as primitive as any “religion” can get: You’ve got to love God or He will kill you. (Sound familiar?) So why study the bible or pray? They don’t want no fruity intellectuals in this religion. Alls you gotta do is get saved. Alls you gotta do to want to get saved is be ascareded. Praise. And that’s something to be proud of.
