All right, I suppose you might get a little suspicious, but yes, I was in the hospital again. It’s just been a little bit harder these days. So I sought a faith healing, but the CoS doesn’t do healings, they do sickenings. And I had to give one to myself. And with a sickening comes a Slack reduction. But with Mondo Diablo, comes Slack. The clips were lifted from an old Hour of Slack show from 1999, which included clips from a documentary that may not exist called “Countdown to X-Day.” This was to be the last X-Day, as they were all expecting the X-ists to come down in their pleasure saucers in a trail of destruction, waiting to present their minister cards as passage onto the ships. These recordings were of their excitement and disappointment, and the beginning of many years of disappointment, waiting for that one day when it will really, truly be July 5th, 1998.

Praise “Bob!” Here I have for you a wonderful old sermon (the oldies are the best, aren’t they?) from Reverend Ivan Stang of the Church of the SubGenius, given around the time the Ice-T hit “Cop Killer” was in the news for being somehow a NEW theme in rock ‘n’ roll. A “new” theme that proves that what adults have been saying for (literally) millenia is right: Kids These Days are Out of Control and it’s all the fault of that awful “rap/rock and roll/jazz/ragtime/Tinpan Alley/Liszt/minuet/immoral combination of lute and singing” music! And OF COURSE that’s true! It’s always those people who are going out to have a good time who ruin the suffering for the Rest of Us!
